The Schmidt and Jones Awards
2010 – 2011 Nominees

The Schmidt & Jones Awards honoring excellence in high school musical theatre were presented on Friday May 13 at Carpenter Performance Hall in the Irving Arts Center.

The awards are named for the esteemed Texas musical theatre team Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt who are responsible for writing legendary shows such as The Fantasticks, 110 in the Shade, I Do! I Do! and Celebration.

Lyric Stage is proud to honor our participating schools:
Bishop Lynch High School, Boswell High School, Coppell High School, Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, Grand Prairie High School, Nimitz High School, R. L. Turner High School and Woodrow Wilson High School.
